Launched in 2002, Guru is a LiteSpeed powered cPanel cloud hosting provider owned by UKDedicated Ltd and is based in Hemel Hamstead, UK.
They are a true cloud web host, which means that your website is not tied to a single server.
What does this mean exactly?
If a server within their network were to experience a hardware failure, your website would not go offline. This is because their hardware is distributed across many web servers, and if one fails, another takes over. Take a football game as an example; if a player gets injured, the match will not end; instead, the player is substituted with another player, and the game goes on.
So how good is Guru?
Since joining Guru back in 2018, I have not looked at another cPanel host again. This is because the level of service, uptime and support received has been excellent and judging by the feedback on Trustpilot, I am not the only one to think so.LAST UPDATED NOVEMBER 15 2021.
Guru’s Trustpilot score is Excellent. This is based on 252 customer reviews.
Guru is not the biggest of web hosts, but they pack a punch. Their high-performance servers coupled with LiteSpeed is enough to put biggies like GoDaddy to shame. You can scale from standard to boosted to semi-dedicated accounts with ease and the speeds are very impressive. Their service is perfect for WordPress and WooCommerce websites and even better with the LiteSpeed cache plugin.
Their plans include pretty much everything you would expect from a cPanel host but without the free email. Guru only includes email mailboxes in their reseller plans, but you can add email as an add-on for an extra £5 per month.
All plans include a generous 100GB of disk space, unlimited domains, free daily backups, free SSL, one-click apps and account boosters.
Is Guru expensive?
Guru is a managed cPanel host so they are a little more expensive than other cPanel web hosts. Their starter plan (Share Cloud) starts at £4.99 and increases to £9.99 if you want to include email. Let’s take a look at their current plans and pricing.
