Best UK web hosting services of 2022

A list of the best UK web hosting companies based on speed, uptime, customer support and cost.

I have compiled a list of the best UK shared web hosting companies based on speed, uptime, customer support and cost.

What is shared web hosting?

Shared web hosting is a type of hosting where the service provider serves multiple websites from a single web server. This is generally the most economical option for hosting, as the overall cost of server maintenance is spread over many customers.

Their super-fast hosting platform has been built from the ground up, and customer support goes above and beyond to help solve any problems that arise. 20i comes highly recommended.

GoDaddy powers one of the world’s largest cloud platforms dedicated to small, independent websites. With +17 million customers worldwide and 73 million domain names under management, GoDaddy is one of the world’s largest web hosts.

My View: GoDaddy may be the biggest but it does not make them the best. Their managed WordPress hosting service is one of the worse services I have experienced. They also tend to charge for services that most hosts offer for free such SSL certificates and backups. GoDaddy is like marmite, you either love them or hate them.

Having said all of that, they have an excellent score on Trustpilot so they must be doing something right.
